Chinese Chicken Skewers are marinated in a bold blend of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and a hint of spice, and deliver that irresistible balance of savory, sweet, and smoky flavors.
1 1/2poundschicken breasts or thighsboneless, skinless
4tablespoonsOyster sauce
2tablespoonssoy sauce
2tablespoonsSriracha sauce
1teaspoonsesame oil
2clovesgarlic minced
1teaspoonginger grated
1/2teaspoonground black pepper
1tablespoonsesame seeds for garnish
2tablespoonsgreen onions for garnishsliced, for garnish
Instructions
Cut the chicken into thick slices.
Mix together all of the sauce ingredients in a sealable plastic bag. Reserve some for basting later on.
Place the chicken in the bag and marinate in the sauce for 2 hours.
Thread the chicken slices onto skewers.
Preheat the grill to 400° F(200°C). When hot, place the chicken skewers on the grill and cook for 2 minutes per side. Baste with a bit of the reserved sauce. Cook until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165° F(75°C). Remove from the grill and serve with sesame seeds and green onions as garnish.
