Why You’ll Love It
- Crunchy Exterior: Experience the satisfying crunch of a perfectly toasted tortilla shell, thanks to the magic of the air fryer, which crisps up the wrap to perfection without the need for excess oil.
- Customizable Fillings: Enjoy the freedom to customize your crunch wrap with your favorite ingredients, from seasoned ground meat or tofu to a variety of veggies, cheese, and sauces, allowing you to create a personalized flavor experience every time.
Helpful Tips
- Seam side down, always. Place your crunch wrap seam side down in the basket first. This seals everything shut as it cooks so nothing unfolds or spills out. Once the bottom is set, flip it to crisp up the top.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket. Crunch wraps need space around them for the hot air to circulate and do its job. Cook in batches if needed — a crowded basket means steamed tortilla instead of crispy, and that defeats the whole point.
- A light spritz of oil makes a big difference. Right before they go in, spray both sides lightly with cooking oil. It’s what gives you that golden, evenly crisped exterior instead of dry or patchy spots. Don’t skip this step.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 4 flour tortillas
- 1 can refried beans
- 4 tostada shells
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato diced
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, crumbling as it cooks, until the beef has browned, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning according to package directions.
- Warm the tortillas and place them flat on a clean surface.
- Add 1/4 cup of refried beans to the center of each tortilla. Add 1/2 cup of ground beef onto the top of the beans and spread it out in a large circle, the same size as the tostada shells. Place one tostada shell on top of the beef.
- Spread some of the sour cream on the tostada. Sprinkle on the cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.
- Tightly fold the edges of the flour tortilla over the top of the stack, making pleats, until fully covered. Then flip the whole crunch wrap over to keep it secure.
- Lightly spray both sides of the wrap with cooking oil. Set in the air fryer, seam-side down, and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 4 minutes. Flip the crunch wrap and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
- You will likely need to cook them one at a time, depending on the size of your air fryer.
