Jalapeno popper crescent bites

The buttery crescent dough bakes up into little golden cups that hold a rich cream cheese filling loaded with smoky bacon bits, fresh green onion, diced jalapeños, and gooey cheddar. They are just spicy enough to keep things exciting without overwhelming anyone at the table.

Helpful Tips

  • Soften the cream cheese first: Pull your cream cheese out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before you start. Softened cream cheese blends smoothly with the other filling ingredients and scoops easily into the crescent cups without tearing them.
  • Pinch those seams tightly: When you unroll the crescent dough, press all the perforated seams together firmly before cutting into squares. This keeps the cups from splitting apart as they bake and gives you a sturdier base for all that delicious filling.
  • Adjust the heat to your crowd: Removing all the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños gives you a mild, crowd-friendly bite. If your guests love spice, leave a few seeds in or add a pinch of cayenne to the filling for an extra kick.
