Sweet & Crunchy Baked Apples
Sweet & Crunchy Baked Apples are the cozy, warm fall treat you didn’t know you needed. They’re tender, cinnamon-spiced, and topped with a buttery oat crunch that brings it all together.

They take about 15 minutes in the air fryer, and you only need a few ingredients to make them. The natural sweetness of the apples pairs perfectly with the honey and cinnamon, while the oats give that golden, toasty crunch. You can serve them as-is or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra layer of indulgence.
Helpful Tips
- Use a spoon or melon baller to easily scoop out the core and some of the apple flesh for more filling space.
- Choose firm apple varieties like Honeycrisp or Fuji so they hold their shape while baking.
- Don’t skip the melted butter in the oat topping—it helps it brown and crisp up just right.

I sized the recipe down for one apple since it was just for me. I really liked it. It was delicious. I had it for dessert instead of ice cream since it’s healthier and I put vanilla yogurt on top, and oh boy was it good. The yogurt really added to it. I will be making it again.
We are happy to hear that you liked it Cindy! I think your addition of the vanilla yogurt sounds perfect!
