Pear & Brie Salad Skewers
The combination of sweet pears, creamy brie, peppery arugula, and crunchy walnuts drizzled with balsamic glaze is such a great appetizer for any party. I love to see salad skewers on an appetizer spread, so that’s a huge win. But these skewers are also really pretty, which gives some decoration and life to the spread as well.
You can use any type of pear for these skewers, and while I really like the peppery arugula, you can always use a less-spicy spring mix instead.

Helpful Tips
- Choose the Right Pear – Opt for a ripe but firm pear, such as a Bartlett or Anjou. This will provide a nice sweetness without being overly mushy. If the pear is too soft, it may not hold its shape on the skewer.
- Brie Selection – When selecting brie, look for a wheel that feels slightly soft to the touch but not overly squishy. The rind adds flavor, but removing it allows the creamy cheese to meld beautifully with the other ingredients.
- Arugula Alternatives – If you’re not a fan of arugula’s peppery taste, consider using spinach or mixed greens as a substitute. These greens will provide a milder flavor while still adding a fresh crunch.
