Helpful Tips

  • Cut Evenly: To ensure even cooking, cut the sweet potatoes into wedges that are similar in size. This helps them cook at the same rate, so you don’t end up with some pieces overcooked while others are undercooked.
  • Soak for Extra Crispiness: For even crispier wedges, soak the cut sweet potato wedges in cold water for at least 30 minutes before seasoning and cooking. This helps to remove excess starch, resulting in a crunchier texture.
  • Don’t Overcrowd the Basket or Baking Sheet: Whether using an air fryer or an oven, make sure the wedges are in a single layer and not overcrowded. This allows hot air to circulate around the wedges, promoting even cooking and crispiness.
