Cranberry Brie Bread Bowl
Cranberry Brie Bread Bowl is a show-stopping holiday appetizer that always draws a crowd. Warm, melty Brie baked inside a crusty bread loaf and topped with cranberry sauce feels festive, indulgent, and perfect for sharing. It’s the kind of dish that immediately becomes the centerpiece of the table.

This recipe is simple to put together and bakes up beautifully golden in just minutes. The creamy cheese paired with sweet-tart cranberries is classic, and the bread doubles as both serving dish and dippable bites. It’s cozy, elegant, and made for holiday gatherings when you want something that looks impressive but doesn’t require much work.
Helpful Tips
- Choose the right bread: A round sourdough or boule works best since it holds its shape and has a sturdy crust.
- Score and hollow carefully: Cut a circle in the top and scoop out just enough bread to fit the Brie wheel without puncturing the bottom.
- Add toppings after baking: A drizzle of honey, fresh herbs, or chopped nuts makes it extra festive once it’s hot from the oven.

- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the top off the bread and carve out the inside so the wheel of brie will fit inside and the bread doesn’t come up more than ¼” above the cheese.
- Slice into the bread at 1” intervals all the way around the circle so pieces can be pulled out easily.
- Brush the inside of the bread with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cut the rind off the top of the brie and place the wheel in the bread bowl.
- Sprinkle on the rosemary. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the brie.
