If you’re thinking these don’t look great, I have to agree. They don’t cook up with a hugely appealing exterior. But it’s what’s inside that counts, and let me tell you. They are GOOD.

Additional Helpful Tips

  • Choose the Right Sausage: The type of sausage you use can greatly impact the flavor of your Pig Shots. Opt for a good quality smoked sausage that has a nice balance of spices.
  • Experiment with Toppings: While the classic combination of cream cheese and sausage is delicious on its own, don’t hesitate to get creative with your toppings. Consider adding shredded cheese, jalapeños, or even a drizzle of barbecue sauce or hot sauce before baking.
  • Bake or Air Fry: If you have an air fryer, you can pop these in there to cook them, rather than heating up your oven.
