If you’re looking for a fun and festive holiday treat, these Chocolate-Covered Christmas Light Oreos are a must. Classic Oreos get dipped in chocolate, then decorated with candy “lights” to look just like a strand of Christmas lights. They’re cute, easy to make, and perfect for holiday parties, cookie trays, or gifting.

Christmas Light Oreos

The best part about these cookies is how simple they are. You don’t need any fancy tools—just some melted chocolate, colorful candies, and a little creativity. They’re great for making with kids, and they always add a playful touch to any Christmas dessert spread.

Helpful Tips

  • Use candy melts or real chocolate. Candy melts give you smooth coverage, but good-quality chocolate will taste richer.
  • Pipe the “string” carefully. A small piping bag or even a zip-top bag with the corner cut off works well for adding the black line.
  • Choose bright candies. M&M’s or similar candies in red, green, yellow, and blue give the perfect lightbulb look.
