When shopping, search for the 8-ounce Brie wheel in the wooden box, as the box can be used as a baking dish. If that is not possible, place the wheel in a smaller baking dish. Use a dish that help hold its form while cooking.

Don’t have Brie? Camembert can also be used in this recipe. Brie is creamier than Camembert since it is made with cream during the production process but it’s very similar and just as tasty.

Helpful Tips

  • Pressing the brie with the tip of your finger is a good technique to see if it’s baked to perfection. It should be soft and give a bit. If it still appears to be firm, bake for a few more minutes.
  • Give the brie a chance to cool for a few minutes before serving. It will allow everyone to eat it without burning their mouths.
  • There are many flavor variations for baked brie. You can add ingredients like chili and honey, or any type of fruit spread, instead of herbs. Use what you like.
