Marinated mozzarella balls

What makes these so appealing is how simple they are to prep ahead. The mozzarella soaks up all that citrusy, garlicky goodness as it chills, so by the time you serve it, every bite is flavorful and balanced. It’s an easy way to add something fresh and vibrant to your spread without turning on the oven.

Helpful Tips

  • Let it marinate longer if you can: One hour works, but a few hours or overnight gives the mozzarella even more flavor.
  • Keep everything submerged: Make sure the mozzarella is fully covered in oil so it marinates evenly and stays fresh.
  • Bring to room temp before serving: Olive oil can solidify in the fridge, so let it sit out for 15 to 20 minutes before serving for the best texture.
