Helpful Tips

  • Keep Puff Pastry Cold Until Baking -Puff pastry is temperature-sensitive. Keeping it cold until just before baking helps it puff up properly and results in a crisp, flaky texture.
  • Don’t Overfill the Pastry Cups – Use just enough cream cheese and smoked salmon to complement the pastry without weighing it down. Overfilling can cause the pastry to become soggy or lose its shape.
  • Customize Your Toppings – While classic cream cheese and dill pair beautifully with smoked salmon, feel free to experiment with other flavors like horseradish, chives, or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to add brightness.
