Air Fryer Pork Belly Skewers

Air Fryer Pork Belly Skewers are an easy way to enjoy crispy, flavorful pork belly without firing up the grill. Tender chunks of pork belly are threaded onto skewers with zucchini and onion, then cooked until perfectly crisp on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. A sweet and savory glaze made with soy sauce, Thai sweet chili sauce, honey, and fish sauce adds layers of flavor that caramelize beautifully in the air fryer.

These skewers are great for a weeknight dinner, game day spread, or backyard gathering when you want something a little different. With simple ingredients and minimal prep, you’ll have a dish that looks impressive but is surprisingly easy to make at home.

Helpful Tips

  • Soak wooden skewers before using. Soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to help prevent burning in the air fryer, especially since these skewers cook for up to 18 minutes.
  • Cut ingredients into similar-sized pieces. Keeping the pork belly, zucchini, and onion pieces close in size helps everything cook evenly and ensures the vegetables are tender when the pork is done.
  • Baste in layers for the best flavor. Applying the sauce during the cooking process rather than all at once helps build a sticky, caramelized glaze on the pork belly while preventing the sauce from burning too early.
