Tasty Loaded Totchos for Game Day

Regular nachos are great, but swapping out tortilla chips for crispy tater tots? That’s next-level delicious. Loaded Totchos bring all the best nacho flavors—gooey cheese, seasoned ground beef and your favorite toppings—on top of golden, crunchy tots.

Loaded totchos

They’re easy to throw together and completely customizable, making them a must-try for anyone who loves comfort food with a twist.

Helpful Tips

  • Cook toppings separately when possible: Ground beef, bacon, or beans should be fully cooked before adding to the totchos.
  • Use two types of cheese: A mix of shredded cheddar and melty queso creates the perfect balance of flavor and texture.
  • Garnish with fresh ingredients: Chopped cilantro, green onions, or diced tomatoes add brightness and balance to the dish.

Ingredients

  • 28 ounces frozen tater tots 1 bag
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • Toppings: cherry tomatoes avocado, jalapeno, cilantro, sour cream, olives, green onions

Instructions

  • Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the tots on the baking sheet and cook according to the package instructions.
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet, crumbling it as it cooks, until browned. Drain any excess grease. Add half a packet of taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the ground beef and black beans over the tots, then sprinkle on the shredded cheese. I like to layer it up so each bite gets toppings.
  • Bake until the cheese is melted, but not browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve with your toppings.
