Sausage Cheese Phyllo Bites
Looking for an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer that brings flavor without the fuss? These Sausage Cheese Phyllo Bites are savory, creamy, and just the right amount of crispy. They bake up in minutes and disappear just as fast, whether you’re hosting a party or need a quick snack for game day.

The filling is rich and comforting, made with breakfast sausage and melty cream cheese. The phyllo cups give every bite a perfect crunch, and you can make them ahead or serve them fresh from the oven. They’re also great at room temperature, which makes them an ideal low-maintenance appetizer.
Helpful Tips
- Use frozen phyllo cups – No need to mess with sheets of phyllo dough. Frozen cups are a huge time-saver and hold the filling perfectly.
- Drain the sausage if needed – If your sausage is greasy, drain off excess fat before adding the cream cheese so the filling isn’t too oily.
- Garnish before serving – Sprinkle with chopped chives just before serving for a little color and a mild onion flavor.

The picture of the sausage bites has cheese on them but the recipe doesn’t call for cheese.
Hi Michelle, the cheese look of these comes from baking the cream cheese filling. You could add cheese to the top if you like.
